A fun part of the Fiestavus / Fiesta Movement is the opportunity to dig back into the Mongol Rally. As part of this, I am going to try to run a photo every Thursday with a little deeper explanation. So here is the first installment.
I took this photo in Kazakhstan 180 km south of Karragandy. Earlier in the day we had ditched the Fiat in the desert following a failed replacement of a blown head gasket. For the first time, probably since Poland, we were actually making good time and as a result all were in fairly good spirits.
A few days ago I submitted our Fiesta Movement video to Andrew Sullivan's Daily Dish blog. You know that little blog that did 40 million views in 2007. Well, we didn't get the love, which I can understand since it is a contest entry but some Fiestavus spilled over.
To be perfectly honest, this is even better news. Our friend, the extremely talented Edison, got his video posted to the Daily Dish. Check it our The Daily Dish. We are all so excited for Edison, he is massively deserving of this recognition and we are happy to have played a small part in it (perhaps).
